           REDEFINING WORLD

                                                 MAY

That never reached me in time
            With strange reprimanding language
Of what I may or may not do!

Reminding me of apartheid and making me wonder
If this nation of Maple trees was sovereign
            Or was it Teresa May
            Ruling from abroad?
            Causing such postal disasters!
            But those elegant Mountains
Rockies, may they embolden my spirit to return faster
And enhance my chances of receiving all
That life may have in its
            Womb for me!

May faith in love never weaken

            May human bond
            Always strengthen
            And may that grey streak
            In my mother’s smile be
            Replaced by colors of happiness!
