                                    SLIP AWAY

Slip away, slip away slip away in the darkness
Slip away, slip away slip away in the darkness
Blow the trumpet seven times the walls to tumble down

Beach and a forest the lake by the ocean
Beach and a forest the lake by the ocean
Pump up the kicks tap dance on the floor

Saddle up the microphone oiled up the saxophone
Saddle up the microphone oiled up the saxophone
Ride in the moonlight school of the hard knocks

Dollar short and a shirt fork goes straight
Dollar short and a shirt fork goes straight
These verses are knives cuts like surgery

Slip away, slip away patches blow in the wind
Slip away, slip away patches blow in the wind
Drop of water in the dust everything slips away
